Everyn

I enjoy working with new models. They haven’t got their posing down. They are not polished. They don’t look all modelly with their signature “blue steel” look (or female equivalent). They are real!  I was very impressed with Everyn. This was only her third time modeling and she wanted to do some boudoir. It’s not easy exposing yourself, both figuratively  and literally in front of a camera, but she totally stepped up.  I won’t say that she was right at home in front of the camera, but she embraced the challenge and I totally respect that. I’m looking forward to working with her again.

By the way, this is the first time I’ve used the pose in the featured image. I love it! It’s my new favorite pose and I’m definitely going to be working that one.

These images all have issues. I was shooting with a wide open lens and the focus wasn’t always right one. But I thought they had a grittier look and decided to process a few in black and white. I never use presets. I normally format all my black and white images manually. But there was a particular preset that I liked the look of and have never had the opportunity to use until this shoot.
