I find that boudoir images taken from the perspective of the male gaze are not very interesting. So I’ve been trying to get away from doing cliche boudoir posing and have been trying to shoot in a way that conveys a more authentic sensuality. I don’t know what to call the look I’m going for. Maybe intimate lifestyle or sensuous lifestyle. I envision a focus on feminine attributes like elegance, grace, softness, beauty, curvaceousness, vulnerability, strength, power, but without the hyper-sexualized portrayal.
This collaboration with Savvy is about the closest I’ve come to this feeling that I’d like to convey.
Savvy is not a model. I think she said that she’s only done one other professional shoot. But she brought her authentic self to the shoot.
