I’ve had the pleasure of shooting more than once at Jonny Edwards’ Atelier Alchimia studio in Denver. There are probably tens of thousands of dollars of hand-painted backdrops, and Jonny has lots of costuming and props to incorporate into my images. I don’t know where he got a dress like this, but it fit Ahna perfectly. And who has taxidermy pheasants just sitting around? Most of these images were taken with a single light, feathered on camera-left, mixed with a tiny bit of ambient. In others, I used a fresnel to highlight the gold in this particular backdrop.
